2020 Premier League Darts Format and Schedule

The 2020 Premier League Darts returns on February 6 in Aberdeen in what is the opening night of a tournament which stretches across 17 weeks all the way through the play-offs on May 21.

Rather than in previous formats, where the line-up was fixed across the competition, this year there are nine permanent players in the field, along with a guest challenger across the opening nine weeks.

She also defeated number 11 seed Mensur Suljovic in the second round in what was a memorable run.

The nine permanent players in the field will compete for points towards the league table; however, the challengers will not be included in the standings. There are two points on offer for a win, while if a match is tied, both players will pick up a single point.ididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. Judgement Night Takes Place on Week Nine

Week nine in the Premier League is known as Judgement Night as the player who is bottom of the table following the fixtures in Rotterdam will be eliminated from the tournament.

The remaining eight players following Judgement Night will then continue to compete across nights 10-16. The top four in the standings after week 16 will advance through to the play-offs at the O2 Arena in London in week 17

As with previous play-off evenings, there will be two semi-finals and a final on the schedule. First place will play fourth place in the table, while those who finished second and third will compete for a spot in the final.

Matches across nights 1-9 will be over a best of 12 legs format. During weeks 10-16 they take place over best of 14 legs, the semi-final are 19 legs contests, with the final increasing to best of 21 legs.
