The traditional way to reach Valhalla, the Hall of Gods, is through Bifrost, the rainbow bridge. You would usually get there with the aid of Valkyries collecting you from the field of battle when you die.
Luckily, that isn’t needed for this jackpot slot: all you have to do is make a bet and hit the spin button. Of course, for slightly more advanced players, there's a bunch of other options too, most notably an autoplay feature. In Hall of Gods you will also encounter a number of special symbols: The Wild, the Scatter and the Bonus symbol.
The wild substitution takes the form of a serpent, well known to Norse mythology buffs. First of all, he can substitute for any other symbol in the game with the exception of the bonus and scatter ones, and secondly, since he is a pretty big snake, he'll expand to cover the entire reel he appears on turning it wild.
The scatter symbol is used to trigger free spins: the number depends on how many scatters you get. Three scatters will give you 10 free spin, and each additional scatter another five, up to a maximum of 20. During the free spins, all winnings are tripled. Also, should you manage to get three or more scatters again, you will be rewarded with additional free spins.
Finally there is the Bonus symbol. This one is relatively rare, but well worth the wait. Three of them activate the bonus game-info. In it, you'll grab Thor's hammer Mjollnir use it to bang on a number of shields. These hide either a sum, or one of the three jackpots. Once you've banged enough shields to get three of a kind, the bonus game ends. The goal is, of course, to get three jackpot symbols, but even if you don't you'll be well rewarded.
The Norse gods live in Valhalla, literally meaning the hall of the chosen. This is where the Hall of Gods is set. The goal then, is of course to enter Valhalla and choose the right reward. Remember, the riches of the Norse gods are legendary. After all, Odin All-father has a golden ring, Draupnir, that every nine days multiplies into eight more identical ones. So, he probably has a lot of them by now, and won't mind sharing a few with you.
Valhalla, the home of the mighty gods of the Vikings is no place for mortals. That is, unless you happen to be a slot player. In Hall of Gods, you will meet several of the Norse Gods, as well as objects associated with them – Thor's hammer Mjollnir, for example.
It goes without saying that this is a real treat for anyone interested in the Vikings and their mythology. The sounds and especially the graphics are completely spot on. But even without that, Hall of Gods is a very cool slot, with much to commend it even to slot players who can't tell Odin from Idun.
