- 5 reels, 3 lines, All Pays bet lines
- wild Substitutions
- Free spins: x 3 multiplier
You don't have to be a historian to play Victorious. In fact, you even hardly have to know anything about slots. Just choose how much you want to bet, and hit the spin button. Or, if you are a bit more advanced, you can use the autoplay function. There are no bet lines to keep track of. Instead, Victosrious uses the All Pays system. What this means is that as long as a symbol appears on consecutive reels, starting on the leftmost one, you win. In most cases, you need three to win, but for a couple, two is enough.
In addition, there's also a scatter symbol (a golden laurel wreath). If you manage to get three or more of them, you'll be rewarded with a number of free spins equal to the number of scatters times five, with a maximum of 25 free spins. During the free spins, all winnings are tripled and scatter symbols during the free spins will result in you getting some extra free spins!
Finally, there's the wild substitution. It functions in a similar way to most other slots in that it can act as any other symbol. But where it differs is that that is unconditional: unlike in most other slots, it can even act as a scatter symbol, helping to trigger the free spin function.
Victorious is all about the Roman Empire. This is of course very fitting, because just like gambling, an important part of the rise of Rome was risk-taking. When Caesar crossed the river Rubicon, though not much of a Craps player back then, he uttered the immortal words “Alea Iacta Est”, the die has been cast.
This, of course, ultimately ended up with him becoming Emperor (let's forget about the part where he was murdered, for now). In the same way, a slot player may say “The wheels have been spun” when playing, hoping to win the jackpot. The story of Rome is quite simply the story of taking chances with the hope of winning big, not entirely unlike slots. Victorious combines the two, into one seamless package.
Victory is something the Romans knew a lot about. Well, at least until the Goths decided to get serious. This slot, however, takes place at the height of the Roman Empire. With grand music and graphics, it evokes an era long gone.
For anybody who is interested in ancient Roman history, Victorious will be a welcome addition to the slot market. Anybody else will just have to be content with a really cool slot, full of great and interesting idea. Will you be the victorious one, granted triumph through the streets of Rome? Or rather, will you be the one to win big bucks?
