How to Play
As this review shows, the game's an impressive-looking video slot from ELK Studios. The reels are set against the backdrop of the Egyptian desert. The game uses a 6-reel, 4,096-ways-to-win layout that can expand up to 262,144 ways to win as symbols tumble down the reels.
Each win triggers the Avalanche mechanic, with winning symbols disappearing and new ones dropping in – giving you multiple chances to win from a single spin! This unique gravity-based design is a big part of what makes the game so unique – and why so many players looking for tips on how to play Cygnus want to know about the cascades and expanding reels.
How to Place a Bet on Cygnus
One of our best Cygnus tips is to place bets at a level you're comfortable with. Select your total bet from as little as €0.20. Adjust your stake by clicking the 'Coins+' symbol in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.
Part of your Cygnus strategy should be looking at where the symbols land. Like most slots online, wins are formed left to right.
Cygnus How to Win
The main way to hit big wins in the slot is in the Cygnus Free Spins bonus round. This is triggered by getting the FREE DROPS bonus symbol on the left-hand side of the screen. When this happens, you'll receive 7 free drops. Once triggered, the grid expands to the full 8 rows, giving you up to 262,144 ways to win. Plus, any multiplier symbols that land lock in place for the remaining spins, too.
Although there are no Cygnus tricks to winning, there is the gravity mechanic, which is what makes the game so unique. Symbols don't just drop straight down; they roll diagonally left or right. When combined with the avalanche wins, this means one spin can trigger multiple cascades – with stacked multipliers of up to 64x.
Why Play?
Thanks to its gravity-based reels and avalanche mechanic, no 2 spins ever feel the same – and watching symbols tumble into place, unlocking extra rows (and ways to win) and trying to hit the game's maximum win potential of 5,000x your bet will keep you entertained for hours.
