There are abundant betting options available when it comes to the biggest football cup that takes place every four years. Argentina won the last football cup, and Brazil has hoisted the trophy five times.

The European Championship is next on the list. For the Euro 24, Betsson already has many betting options, such as the overall winner, group winner, and various markets for individual qualifying matches.

Regarding annual football cups, the two main ones are the Champions League and Europa League. Betsson offers many Champions League odds and Europa League odds for these major competitions, and while the last Champions League just finished, Betsson has future odds for the next one. Manchester City completed the treble (League Title, League Cup, and Champions League) by winning all three titles and beating reigning champions Real Madrid in the semi-finals. The previous champions have won four of the last seven CL trophies and have the most with 14 CL victories.

In Europe and numerous countries worldwide, it is customary to have a league cup for the champion of the top division, along with a separate cup competition that involves teams from various lower divisions competing against each other. The availability of betting markets increases with the size of a country. For instance, when it comes to a match, there will be a wide range of England Premier League odds to choose from, while there will be significantly fewer options for a Croatia League Cup match.

Some of the other bigger football cups include:
  • Copa America
  • Africa Cup of Nations
  • Confederations Cup
  • FA Cup (England)
  • Copa Del Rey (Spain)
  • Coppa Italia (Italy)

What Sports You Can Discover in the Sportsbook Section

While football is the most popular betting sport at Betsson, many other betting markets are available for various other sports. Like football, the more popular the event, the more bets will be available, so there will be more markets for an NBA playoff game than for an FIVB volleyball match.

For the more popular sports like basketball, hockey, and American football, there is no lack of betting options for the top leagues around the world, such as the NBA, NHL, NFL, and KHL, to name just a few. Betsson covers other popular sports, such as baseball, handball, boxing, MMA, NASCAR, Formula 1, tennis, and golf, as well as niche sports, such as volleyball, badminton, cycling, field hockey, darts, and more.

There is no shortage of betting options, and Betsson offers live betting and live streaming. You can bet on the action live as it happens, and with top-notch streaming, you can watch the event live while following the betting options.

What Else Can You Discover Besides Sports?

Betsson is your one-stop betting hub, as, besides sports betting, there is an online casino, poker room, live casino, horse racing, and virtual sports. The casino has thousands of games, from slots and classic table games to video poker and jackpot games. There is even a live casino, giving you a more immersive gambling experience as you play with a live croupier. In the live casino, you can not only chat with the dealer but also, often, with other players.

The poker room offers diverse tables, accommodating numerous games and stakes to cater to a wide array of players. There is always tournament action available, and another attractive feature of the poker and casino rooms is that there are always great bonuses and promotions to take advantage of. The horse racing section provides an extensive selection of races to place bets on, featuring events from various parts of the world. Additionally, live betting on races adds an exciting element to the wagering experience.

Most Popular Sports that Bets are Most Frequently Placed

Football is widely regarded as the most popular sport for betting, and the volume of bets tends to increase with the prominence of the league. For instance, during a weekend, the English Premier League receives significantly higher bets than the Italian Serie B, reflecting its larger fan base and greater betting activity. Other popular sports to wager on include basketball, baseball, hockey, American football, golf, tennis, and boxing.

The odds are available in decimal, fractional, or American (moneyline) form at Betsson.

What Types of Bets are Available?

Many different types of bets are available at Betsson, but as mentioned before, the bigger the game or match, the more markets will be available. There may only be a straight bet available for a darts match, while for an EPL match, there might be hundreds of wagers on offer. Here are the most common types of bets:

Straight Bet

In a straight bet, you bet on a team or a player to win a game or match.

Totals Bet

After the straight bet, the totals bet is the second most popular, wagering on whether the total number of points or goals scored in a game or match will be above or below a specified value. For example, if Chelsea and Arsenal are playing in an EPL match with totals bet odds of 2.5 goals and the match ends 2-1, the over would be the winning bet, while the under would be the losing one.

Outright (futures)

An outright bet is betting on an event or league and picking the winner. For example, if you think Chelsea will win the EPL, you can make that wager, and one of the great things is you can do it all year round. EPL winner odds will be posted before the league begins, and when it does, the odds will change depending on the ongoing standings. Some popular outright bets include the EPL, Champions League, NBA title, and Tennis winner.

Proposition Bet

Known as a prop bet, it is a type of wager unrelated to the game's final outcome. Prop bets encompass a wide range of possibilities. In football, examples include predicting whether there will be a goal or not, if a red card will be shown during the match, the number of corner kicks over or under a specified amount or even the halftime score.

Handicap

In a handicap bet, the favourite team or player grants goals or points while the underdog receives them. This type of bet aims to level the playing field by adjusting the final score or outcome in favour of the perceived weaker side. For example, you could take the odds that Chelsea will beat Arsenal by 1.5 goals, so they would have to win by at least two goals for you to win the bet. Betsson offers the Asian handicap option for numerous football matches as well.

Accumulators (Acca)

Also called parlays, an accumulator wager bets on multiple events on the same ticket. All games or matches in the acca bet have to be winners for you to win the wager. The acca bet is a high-risk, high-reward wager, as the more legs you have, the more you can win, but more legs mean the bet is harder to win. However, at Betsson, there is an Acca Insurance promotion available. With this promotion, if you have a specified number of selections on your bet slip and only one loses, you can still win the bet.

Live Betting

Live betting involves placing bets on a game or match as it is happening. Typically, the straight and total bets are available for live bets, but there will also be live prop betting for more significant events. The odds for live bets will change depending on how the event unfolds. As mentioned, Betsson offers a wider variety of live betting options and live streaming, so you can make your bets and watch the event live.
